HR Assistant/Payroll Clerk

This position requires a self motivated individual with a high level of organizational skills, an eye for detail, knowledge of human resources, the ability to multitask and deal effectively with dealership personnel, be a team player and very dependable. This job specifically requires a detail oriented personality with problem solving skills. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees
  • Processes transfer of payroll data to ADP for multiple payroll cycles, on a weekly basis.
  • Participates in benefits administration to include change reporting and approving invoices for payment.
  • Assists with onboarding of new hires and termination of employees.
  • Conducts new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests, conducts reference checks.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
  • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401k deductions.
  • Review the downloaded information from electronic time clocks for completeness and accuracy.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

  • $15.00 – $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Experience in ADP and payroll is requisite.
  • Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel and Word) and Adobe.
