What to Expect

At the design center you will begin with designing and proofing with our in-house designer, and we finalize the process with printing and installation.

Design

Our flat Design Fee includes 3 hours design time and up to 3 revisions. Addition design work is available at a rate of $100 per hour. Clients are welcome to provide a mockup of a design, but we must still charge the flat design fee for setting up the wrap for print.

Please provide all branded assets and guidelines to ensure we meet the standards for your brand. We also require all images and graphic elements to be high resolution.

Proofing

Once the design is complete, we create a proof of the wrap for you to review.

It’s important to carefully examine the proof for any mistakes you find and immediately note any changes you want made to the final wrap before printing. Any changes you have after the wrap goes into final production can delay turnaround and add significantly to your costs.

Appointment

Project installation date/time will be mutually agreed upon by Client and Baker Design and Detail. If Client fails to notify of a missed installation appointment within 72 hours, a $200 “Missed Appointment” fee will be added to Client “Final Invoice”.

We require a 50% down payment to begin your project.

Cleaning

Before we can begin installing your wrap, your vehicle needs to be thoroughly cleaned so that the wrap will adhere properly. A high-pressure car wash that uses powerful detergents should clean off most grime and debris.

Trim Removal

The removal of Emblems, Trim, and any External Accessories that should not be covered by the wrap, will incur an additional labor rate.

This will be different for every vehicle, so this can be estimated before the job is started.

Installation

The installer uses a heat gun to stretch and reposition the vinyl, and a squeegee to eliminate imperfections.

It’s important to note that installers rely on sharp razors to manipulate the vinyl and remove excess material around door handles and crevices. Even with experienced installers, vinyl application is not a perfect process. As industry standard with vinyl application, there is potential for minor imperfections such as nicks, scratches, or bubbling to show on the final product.

After Care

To keep the wrap clean, hand wash the vehicle regularly with soap, water, and a clean rag. Avoid high-pressure or bristle-based car washes that could lift up or tear the wrap, as well as waxes that could remove the laminate or minimize the wrap’s adhesion.
