Cadillac is adding new fuel-saving technologies to its 2016 models. Active Fuel Management and Automatic Stop/Start technologies, and widespread use of a new 8-speed transmission, are combined to raise fuel economy ratings and reduce emissions.

Cadillac’s new six-cylinder engine is equipped with active fuel management that enables it to easily switch from six-cylinder to four-cylinder under light-load conditions while maintaining superb performance.

Some 2016 models will also have automatic start/stop technology. This reduces emissions and fuel consumption by automatically turning off the engine when the vehicle is at a stop. The engine will resume as soon as the driver lets their foot off of the brake.
