Score Big Recipes For Your GMC Tailgate

September 29th, 2016 by

It’s almost game day; are you struggling to find the perfect tailgating recipe? Check out these three quick-and-easy snacks that will certainly keep the party going into overtime. What better place to eat these delicious snacks than on the tailgate of a GMC Canyon?

 Sweet and Spicy Deviled Eggs

For this appetizer, you’ll need a dozen peeled hard-boiled eggs, ½ cup of mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons of mango chutney, 1/8 teaspoon of ground red pepper, and salt for tasting. The preparation is simple; cut the eggs in half (lengthwise), remove the yolks, and mash them. Then, stir in the following ingredients; the yolk, mayonnaise, mango chutney, and red pepper until blended. Spoon the mixture into the egg-white halves and garnish with chives to make them game day ready!

 Brown Sugar Smokies

These don’t call for many ingredients, just 1 pound of bacon, a 16-ounce package of little smokey sausages, and brown sugar. Preheat the oven to 350-degrees Fahrenheit, cut the bacon into thirds, then wrap each strip around a sausage. Place the bacon-wrapped sausages on a wooden skewer (approximately 3 to a skewer), then place the skewers on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake them until the brown sugar is melted and the bacon is crisp. These take under 30 minutes to make and will be ready to serve before half time!

Chicken and Honey Sliders

Grab a loaf of French bread, a 10-oz package of angel-hair coleslaw, ¼ cup of honey mustard, and 15-20 fried chicken tenders to start this recipe. Simply cut the loaf in half horizontally and scoop out the soft bread from the center of each half (this will leave you with ½ inch thick shell to make the sandwich easier to make), Toss the honey mustard and coleslaw together until coated, layer the chicken and coleslaw onto the bread and cut into sandwiches. Enjoy!

Tailgating is always fun, and it’s a great way to celebrate your team’s victory. A GMC brings everyone together this football season. With a GMC Canyon, you’ll be able to comfortably seat your friends and family. Opt for a crew cab to make traveling (and hauling all of your tailgating gear) easy and enjoyable. Safety features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Control, Front and Rear Parking Assist and Lane Change Alert will keep you safe and sound as you journey to your favorite stadium.

Driving a GMC Canyon can complete your tailgate party this season and make it the best year yet for you and your team. Test drive a GMC truck at Baker Buick GMC Cadillac in West Ashley.
