The Summers Biggest Blockbuster Featuring The Summers Hottest Rides – Baker Motor Company – Charleston, SC
Jurassic World is one of the most hotly anticipated movies of the summer. With a release date set for June 12, we’re beginning to see more terrifying trailers, previews, and co-branded promotions surrounding the upcoming blockbuster starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
One of the most notable of those promotions is with Mercedes-Benz, which will play a fairly prominent role in the upcoming film. While the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is the focus of the Mercedes-Benz Jurassic World TV ad (scroll down to see it), there are a number of other Mercedes-Benz models that will be making cameos in the movie. To help you prepare for your opening night trip to the theater or to give you a better understanding of the vehicles you just saw in the movie, here is a description!
The 2016 GLE Coupe is a dynamic new perspective on style with substance. It pushes the long-standing coupe tradition of Mercedes?Benz to new heights, with sensual lines, a stretched greenhouse and striking front grille combined with SUV characteristics such as muscular shapes, large wheel arches and a high belt line.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is the star of the show, earning it this striking face-to-face print ad with a pretty angry looking dinosaur named Indominus Rex. Bryce Dallas Howard’s character, Claire, gets behind the wheel of the GLE450 AMG Sport Coupe to escape a dangerous situation, maneuvering through the island and evading the a great number of dinosaurs.
The off-road, military-rooted Mercedes-Benz G-Class appears as one of the park’s fleet vehicles driven by star Chris Pratt, who plays Owen.
Created to conquer challenges on six continents, the 36-year evolution of the G-Class keeps elevating the pinnacle of refinement. From its advanced lighting to its classic upright shape, its purposeful elegance is both unmistakable and irrefutable. Every surface of the G-Class reflects its confident capability on any surface of the earth.
If there is any vehicle that is capable of matching the speed and tenacity of a dinosaur, it’s the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. This unmistakable 6-wheeled monster is no longer in production, as it is being replaced with the G500 4×4², but it is poised for some memorable on-screen moments in Jurassic World.
The AMG 4.0-liter V-8 biturbo engine is the world’s first sports car engine with the turbos inside the V of the engine and dry sump lubrication.
The Mercedes-Benz Unimog is the most unfamiliar Mercedes-Benz you’ll see in the movie since it’s only available overseas. In the movie, the trucks operate as the mobile veterinary units for wounded dinosaurs.
Extreme efficiency, state-of-the-art truck technology from large-scale production and outstanding advanced system solutions combine to provide a successful overall concept. The new Unimog U 4023 / U 5023 sets a milestone in the over 60 years of designing outstandingly mobile off-road trucks.
Like all the Mercedes-Benz models in Jurassic World, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is required to do some off-road work as well. The pictured model is equipped with a protective cage over the front fascia and the side windows, but there will be a few variations of the Sprinter van making appearances.
A well-designed commercial van does more than get you from point A to B. With a ruggedly refined design that is just the right size, intelligently constructed features including best-in-class turning radius, passenger-like comfort and Crosswind Assist standard, the new Van is built to propel your business forward.
