The Future Of Jaguar
The future is bright and exhilarating for Jaguar. With an all-new concept, the brand is ready to turn what was once a dream into a reality. The FUTURE-TYPE concept is Jaguar’s vision for 2040 and beyond.
The advanced technologies are unlike any other and will make for a safer driving experience. The new vehicle concept is being created to meet the mobility needs of future generations to come.
The steering wheel is no longer just a part of the vehicle – it is now a part of your home and will act as your most trusted companion. What does this mean? The Sayer steering wheel named after the E-type designer, is the first voice-activated Artificial Intelligence steering wheel that will be able to carry out hundreds of tasks.
The possibilities are endless with the Sayer steering wheel. Book a table, summon a Jaguar, play your favorite music, it can even tell you what is inside of your fridge. The Sayer steering wheel makes scheduling your busy day even easier. It will schedule your wake-up times and coordinate when your Jaguar needs to autonomously arrive at your door to pick you up. The Sayer steering wheel can even suggest which parts of your journey you may enjoy driving yourself.
“FUTURE-TYPE offers an insight into the potential for driving and car ownership in the future. It’s part of our vision for how a luxury car brand could continue to be desirable, in a more digital and autonomous age. Our FUTURE-TYPE Concept is an advanced research project looking at how we can ensure an on-demand Jaguar will appeal to customers in 2040 and beyond. Whether it’s commuting to work, autonomously collecting children from school or enjoying driving yourself on the weekend in the countryside, if there’s a choice of on-demand cars driving around city streets, we need to ensure customers desire our 24/7 service over our competitors.” Explained Jaguar’s Director of Design, Ian Callum.
The FUTURE-TYPE will communicate with other cars, which will increase road capacity and prevent accidents.
