Three Technology Features To Look For In The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

December 18th, 2015 by

After a sneak peek at the interior of the brand new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class recently, we were excited about what we saw!

The E-Class appears to become one of  the most fully-equipped and advanced vehicles on the road, a step ahead of the S-Class. The new E-Class will feature standard and available technologies that will add more convenience, safety and entertainment to the luxury vehicle.

Check out our three favorite technology updates to look forward to in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

1.Steering Wheel Mounted Touch-Sensitive Controls

This one takes infotainment to the next level. With this technology, the first of its kind in the automotive industry, use touch-sensitive control buttons on the steering wheel that allow the driver to navigate through the infotainment system using finger swipes. This adds convenience, and safety as drivers are able to control entertainment, navigation and other aspects of the infotainment system without taking their hands off the wheel.

2. Burmester High-End 3D Sound

The 1,450-watt Burmester High-End 3D sound system contains 23 speakers and sounds reminiscent of a concert hall. Amazing!

3. Customizable Dual 12.3-inch Displays

This is one of the very first things you will notice in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The 12.3-inch high-resolution display is for the instrument cluster and for the infotainment system. These side-by-side displays are covered in glass, providing a flat-screen look. Better yet, drivers can choose between a few different screen designs — Classic, Sport and Progressive.
