Baker Buick GMC Cadillac Supports The 2013 James Island Connector Run

This past weekend was the 15th annual James Island Connector Run and though a few us participated in the race, there was another reason we were pumped for the annual run: We were a 2013 Presenting Sponsor!

This year was a blast because it was a record-breaking turnout with almost 1,400 runners, walkers, and bikers that participated. Not only was the race a fun way to spend a Saturday, it also supports a good cause.

The James Island Connector Run benefits the Gavalas-Kolanko Foundation and over the past 15 years, the Gavalas-Kolanko Foundation has presented 75 scholarships to students with disabilities.

We were thrilled to be a part of this day and because we wanted to go big or go home, we brought five Baker cars on site and our very own GMC Sierra was the lead car kicking off the race carrying Clyde, the College of Charleston Cougar!

We enjoy being active in the community and getting to know our neighbors and friends in Charleston and we’re so  glad so many people came out to support the Gavalas-Kolanko Foundation.
