Baker Motor Company VP Bill Gironda Presents Awards to Scouts at Pinewood Derby April 13th

Baker Motor Company Vice President, Bill Gironda with Pinewood Derby winner Seth Myers and his car “Fast Flash”

We had a great time at the Etiwan Cup Pinewood Derby aboard the USS Yorktown on April 13, 2013! Scouts from East Cooper Packs came to compete to see who had the best car design and the fastest car East of the Cooper! Baker Motor Company Vice President, Bill Gironda was on site to present all of the winners with their awards.

As kids made cars look like Colgate toothpaste and sailboats, this year the parents got to partake in some of the fun too! Families were encouraged to enter the “Akela Race” and fashion their cars like a Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Land Rover or any one of our brands. It was great to see what everyone came up with!
