College of Charleston Entrepreneur-in-Residence: Another Day in the Life of Tommy Baker!

February 21st, 2012 by

(L to R) College of Charleston President George Benson, Dean of the School of Business Alan Shao, Tommy and Victoria Baker, and Tom Livingston

Did you know that Tommy Baker, President and CEO of Baker Motor Company, is also the College of Charleston’s School of Business Entrepreneur-in-residence? Along with that, he also serves on the College’s Board of Governors and co-teaches “Seminar in Entrepreneurship.” College of Charleston calls these adjunct faculty members  business “all-stars” who teach courses in their areas of expertise, which CofC says provides a strong practitioner perspective that its students embrace.

Dean Shao shares more thoughtful words about the adjunct professors on his College of Charleston blog, which you can read here. Even though this is Mr. Baker’s last year teaching entrepreneurship classes, we are so proud to see how his students grow and go out to make an impact in our community and world. It has been a tremendous experience he has loved to be a part of and that we at Baker have learned from as well!
