Eighty-One Guests Attend Tommy Baker’s ‘Small Business Lunch at Halls’ Jan. 5, 2012
Last week, we’re thrilled to share that 81 guests – the most ever to attend a ‘Small Business Lunch at Halls’ event – attended a luncheon led by Mr. Baker on Thursday, Jan. 5. Some of the notable attendees included Billy Swails, Mayor of Mt. Pleasant; Henry Berlin, the third generation-owner of Berlin’s, the 1883-established clothing retailer in downtown Charleston; Jim Newsome, CEO of the SC State Ports Authority; Vicky Boyd, Publisher of the Moultrie News; and Dean Riegel, Charleston City Council Representative.
Mr. Baker took questions and elaborated on his business approach, which has evolved over the years as his business has grown. He also indicated the importance of having a mentor. Mr. Baker’s longtime mentor is Bill Johnson, 93, who has been an enormous influence on his personal and professional life over time.
We thank all who attended the event! Mr. Baker enjoyed speaking at Halls and appreciates the opportunity to share his expertise with other business owners and professionals of Charleston.
