Mercedes-Benz President Steve Cannon Attends Baker Motor Company’s 25th Anniversary Silver Anniversary Event

Last week, Mercedes-Benz President Steve Cannon made a special trip to Charleston to attend Baker Motor Company‘s 25th Anniversary Celebration.

More than 1000 customers, guests and friends gathered to celebrate our silver anniversary at the dealership featuring music from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, food and libations.

Even Mayor Riley’s office pitched in to celebrate declaring Thursday, October 24, 2013 officially as “Baker Motor Company 25th Anniversary Day” in Charleston.

It was a glorious celebration and we thank everyone that has purchased a vehicle from us or serviced a vehicle at Baker in the past 25 years, making this day possible.

“Time flies,” said President and CEO Tommy Baker. “This day would not have been possible without our wonderful employees, loyal customers and this incredible community,” he said from the stage.

Baker Motor Company was established in 1988 as a Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover dealership. Since that time, the company has grown to include Porsche, INFINITI, smart, Sprinter, Jaguar, Maserati, Buick, GMC and Cadillac.

Mr. Cannon presented a 25th Anniversary award to Mr. Baker on stage stating, “Baker Motor Company is one of the best of the best Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the world with the highest level of customer care.” He spoke of the excitement around all of the new vehicles in development and the commitment to remaining the standard to which all other brands measure themselves against. “It’s an exciting time for Mercedes-Benz and I’m honored to be here commemorating this moment with my friend of many years, Tommy Baker.”
