Porsche Has Plans for an Off-Road Model
Porsche has announced its plans to expand its 911 lineup with an off-road model. It has been described as a “crossover” 911 that will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2014.
The concept, which will be called the 911 Safari, will be based on the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, and feature larger tires, higher ground clearance, skid plates, and an off-road-capable suspension. If the model shows well, it could be put in production with a release date in 2016.
