Porsche Receives “Design Team of the Year” Recognition

July 2nd, 2012 by

Recognizing the incredible engineering and design achievements of its 2012 lineup, the Porsche AG design team has just been awarded Red Dot’s Design Team of the Year for 2012. The award acknowledges the continuous design achievements of the automobile manufacturer as well as its entrepreneurial vision.

With over 4,000 entries from 40 countries, the annual red dot design award ranks among the largest design competitions worldwide. The competition is divided into two sections – product design and communication design – which are staged and adjudicated separately. The coveted trophy in both is the red dot, the international seal of quality for outstanding design. The award winning products are displayed online and published in a yearbook.

This year, Red Dot singled out Porsche’s development of the all-new Porsche 911. Red dot stated, “For decades, Porsche 911 has combined sportiness with everyday practicality, the art of engineering and design in a very special way. On a tightrope between tradition and innovation, Porsche has always succeeded in developing the 911 model further from one generation to the next while always remaining true to itself.”

We’re thrilled to recognize Porsche on this achievement. Stop by Baker Motor Company today to see the full lineup of incredible Porsche vehicles, or search our new inventory online now.
