The smart for-us finally debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this month, and it certainly sounds like a fun, versatile ride at only 140 inches long – practically small enough to fit in the bed of a typical U.S. truck! Check out the video:

The pick-up style vehicle is perfect for the active, urban lifestyle – and still get that perfect parallel parking space with maximum efficiency. What’s more, it runs on a 55-kilowatt magneto-electric motor that gives it a top speed over 80 mph. The bay has docking slits for two smart e-bikes, which come with 250-watt Bionx rear-wheel hub motors for extra kick with pedaling, belt drives instead of chains, and three-speed gear hubs. The batteries on the bikes can last for more than 60 miles.

Instead of a rear-view mirror, video of the back of the car from a built-in camera is displayed on a dash-mounted smartphone.

We are thrilled with this new vehicle and can’t wait to welcome it to the Charleston area. Want to see more of the smart family of vehicles? Search our inventory here, and call us at to schedule your test drive.
